1. what will help us to follow the tracks of righteousness?.
3. how can we learn more about gods righteousness?.
conform???.
they say that as a society, we are all getting fatter and fatter.
so i ask, how active are you?
if you took a snap shot of the last five days, can you find moments of exercise or doing something besides sitting in front of the computer, lifting a remote or fork, or perhaps walking to get the mail?
@ highdose,
Can you honestly justify before Jehovah that your routine is ALL you can do?
Good for you. And thanks to free2beme for starting this thread.
(I've just started back into a routine of 6 days a week alternating between weights and aerobics one day to the next. I'm going to stick with it as long as I am able to avoid injuries.)

things i thought about during the memorial talk last night:.
i don't know if it was just the memorial i went to or if this was across the board, but it seems that the talk was dumbed down a bit more than it had been in the past.
not that it wouldn't surprise me if was dumbed down.
another magazine question.
of the magazines that actualy get placed by the jw's.
once the door is closed, how many house holders do you think will actualy read them?
... and i'm cooking dinner and planning a nice evening at home.
.
what are you planning to do tonight?.

these thoughts were inspired by a comment made on my very first post, in which i mentioned that while my husband and i have had our eyes opened regarding this religion were not ready to give up the friends and family just yet.
Begin developing outside interests and non-JW relationships right away.
Consider switching congregations if possible as an interim semi-fading measure.
If we had to be in the same congregation as JW relatives, our lives would be much more hellish.
As it is, we're flaky, fringe JWs in a congo with virtually no former JW "friends", and our relatives don't have the full picture of just how inactive we are.
It's helped our sanity considerably.

if you enjoy a glass of vino now and then, tell us what you like and how your tastes got to where they are now.
wine snobs & non-snobs alike welcome!.
my intro to the world of wine was my jw parents buying a huge screw-top bottle of paul masson or gallo red or white, having half a glass, and sticking it out on the back porch thinking that wine stayed good like that.
i'm starting to think i hallucinated this!
house picks up the 'bi" babe from prison.
she stops the car to go to a door and he wisecracks, 'i didn't know you were a jehovah's witness'.
a brother called me to ask who was delivering the talk at our hall.
i didn't know what he was talking about.
he then explained to me that this week, for the local needs, congregations across the us will have a brother deliver a special outline on blood transfusions.. .
There was one little ray of "new light" in this talk that my wife and I picked up on.
pirata said this bit earlier in the thread:
"If a doctor says that he cannot guarantee he will not give blood, but will do his very best to avoid the use of blood, then it is okay for the parents to accept the treatment..."
This talk said that the JW parents should get the doctor's agreement in writing.
WTF?
That was new to us.
